Choose the journal that fits your trades

A useful trading journal helps you check what happened: your entries, exits, costs, notes, and repeated decisions. It cannot promise better returns. The right choice depends on your market, how your history gets imported, and whether you will keep reviewing it.

Compare the actual purchase prices

An annual plan's monthly equivalent is not a month-to-month price. Here are the plans advertised on the pages checked above:

The plans differ in scope. A free trial is temporary access, while an ongoing free plan may exclude the analytics or market you want. Executions and grouped trades are also different counting units, so monthly limits are not directly interchangeable.

TraderSync: imports, replay, and tiered coaching

Consider it if: broker auto-sync and replay are central to your review.

TraderSync advertises supported broker/platform sync, notes and tags, analytics, and mobile access. Its Pro, Premium, and Elite subscriptions offer different replay, backtesting, and Cypher AI capabilities; Cypher Coach is listed on Elite. Verify your broker and the exact feature tier before starting a trial.

Tradervue: trade reports and mentoring

Consider it if: broker imports, tagged trade reviews, or sharing trades with a mentor matter most.

Tradervue is a web journal with supported broker imports, charts, notes, tags, and community/mentoring features. Silver and Gold include broker sync and unlimited imports; Gold adds commission/fee support and exit-performance analysis. Its official import-quota help page describes an ongoing free plan. Confirm your market and connection method: an importer listed for a broker does not necessarily mean every product or account can auto-sync.

Edgewonk: performance and psychology in a cloud journal

Consider it if: you want to connect trading behavior, mistakes, and checklists with your results.

Edgewonk currently advertises automated imports, a psychology lab, an integrated diary, and cloud access on phone, tablet, and computer. Its paid plan is billed every 12 months. Check the supported-platform list and import method for your account before buying.

TradesViz: detailed analysis across markets

Consider it if: you want a broad analytics and simulation workspace.

TradesViz offers an online journal, supported broker/platform imports and auto-sync, trade plans, mistake analysis, and psychology features. The free Basic plan is for stock imports; Pro adds multi-asset imports and deeper analysis, while Platinum adds further simulation and analysis tools. AI review features are also tiered. Confirm your exchange or broker, asset type, and the plan that includes the specific workflow you need.

Pro Trading Journal: crypto history and a review loop

Consider it if: you trade supported crypto exchanges and want to review recorded results alongside your habits.

You can log trades by hand, import a PTJ-compatible trades CSV, or sync supported exchange history using read-only API keys. CSV import is not a universal importer for arbitrary broker exports: the file must use a supported PTJ format. These read-only journal connections record account history without placing orders.

Starter stays free with no expiry:

• 50 new trades per calendar month
• 1 spot exchange connection, with manual sync
• Basic P&L and win rate, TradingView charts, and data export

Pro adds:

• Unlimited trades and automatic read-only sync across 10 supported exchanges
• Equity analytics, drawdown and the calendar heatmap

• Supported futures exposure and results after recorded fees and funding

Supported exchanges are Binance, Bitget, Bybit, OKX, Coinbase, Kraken, KuCoin, Gate.io, HTX, and Crypto.com. Available fields and historical coverage vary by venue. A chart workspace that also covers US stocks and PSX does not mean those brokers have automatic journal integrations.

Pro costs $24 for a month or $199 for a year, prepaid in USDC on Solana. There is no card or wallet connection and nothing automatically renews. A 7-day refund goes to an address you confirm, never back to the sending address. See the current plans and full feature boundaries.

The trade-off: Starter does not include the Pro psychology, equity analytics, or automatic-sync tools. PTJ's supported crypto exchange connections also cover a narrower import workflow than some broader broker journals. If you primarily need a specific options broker importer or tick-by-tick trade replay, check the alternatives rather than assuming charts provide those features.

Test the review you will actually do

Use a small sample of your own trades to compare any shortlisted journals:

• Check that the importer supports your exact account, asset, and history format.
• Reconcile a known trade against its recorded fees and result.
• Add a setup or mistake tag and see whether the relevant report is included in your plan.
• Review the data-export format and the billing/renewal terms.

For PTJ, start free and try manual logging or a supported spot-exchange sync before choosing Pro. For other journals, use their free plan or advertised trial where available. Psychology features are offered by multiple products; choose the review workflow you will keep using, rather than a claim that one app can guarantee performance.
